MRI Fusion Biopsy

We are pleased to offer MRI fusion biopsy at North Alabama Urology. We use UroNav fusion technology to perform this service. After a patient has the MRI and a suspicious area is identified, we can “fuse” the MRI to our ultrasound with the UroNav and guide the biopsy directly into the suspicious area. The procedure is done in the office under light sedation and local anesthesia and typically takes fewer than 15 minutes.
